Mustard Seed Farm is an urban backyard CSA, providing sliding scale vegetable shares in the Salt Lake City area. We also offer fresh, locally grown produce through farmers markets and wholesales. We believe in everyone’s right to have access to nourishing food. Mustard Seed Farm is committed to producing good food for all, regardless of income. Letting members pay what they can for the same share is one way we do that. We trust you, the member, to self-select what you can pay for the CSA share. Some pay more allowing others to pay less which means the farm can continue running while getting food to the widest membership. Contact us for more payment options, short-season shares at a pro-rated price, or to coordinate payment with EBT. Email:

How It Works

We are a small backyard urban CSA, providing vegetable shares in the Salt Lake City area for local pick up. More pick up locations coming soon.

Shares will be available at:

Cate's Cafe Student Lounge/University of Utah
170 S University Steet
Salt Lake City, Utah (At the Newman Center right by South campus University of Utah)
710 S McClelland Street
Salt Lake City, Utah(Near 1000 E and 800 S)

Shares will start the week of June 8th and continue until the week of October 16th. Pick ups on Wednesdays. Your last share will be a storage share, full of storable crops.

Each week’s bag will contain a diversity of seasonal produce (7-12 items), a balanced assortment of greens, root crops, summer vegetables, and herbs with cooking ideas and nutrition information sent out in a weekly email newsletter.

At the pick up there will be a "trade box" where you can swap out items that are not to your liking for items you prefer more of in your share.
