Serving Grand and San Juan Counties 84532 Website Contact Person: Kate Niederehe, CSA Manager Phone: 435-259-2326 The CSA consists of a community of individuals who pledge support to the Youth Garden Project so that the garden becomes the community's farm, with the growers and consumers providing mutual support and sharing the risks and benefits of food production. Members share in the risks of farming, including poor harvests due to unfavorable weather or pests. Community members, who have provided the Youth Garden Project with working capital in advance, receive shares in the bounty of the garden throughout the growing season, one share being the produce from 16 square feet, as well as the satisfaction gained from reconnecting to the land and participating directly in food production. Produce available to participants weekly, June through October, 20 weeks. Pick up at the Youth Garden Project on Tuesdays from 3 to 8 PM. Remainder of weekly harvested produce will be sold at Moab Farmers' Market to benefit the Youth Garden Project. $300.00 for one share:A single share is designed for one to two person households. $575.00 for two shares: A double share is for a three to four person household or for a smaller household that wants to eat primarily vegetables or preserve fruits and vegetables for use at other times of the year.
